Lafe 2010

Postby John Olinger on February 18th, 2010, 12:00 am

Hey guys & girls,
Who's going to Lafe this year? I've tried to go for the past 3 or 4 years but something always seemed to come up. This year I'm going for sure and I want to know which of my friends I'll finally get to meet!

Not this year, but i really wish I could. No money, a blown engine and no vacation time all combine to staying home this year. And if I could go, this would be the year I promised to get back to Gulf Wars. My wife is sending competition pieces.

When I get my tax return, I'm hoping to have enough left over to send a donation for the bridge fund at Lafe.

Maybe we'll be able to make it next year. I miss my friends. We'll try to to have a big Texas contention.

I am still in Europe, so no Lafe for me this year. :( I know that I will be there for 2011 though!

I won't be able to attend this year, sadly.

As Terry said, we'll try going next year!

I'll be there, its last minute, but my ship date for the Marine Corp got moved to June, so i'll be comeing down for one more romp in the woods, if any one is looking for a ride who lives remotely between Detroit and Lafe let me know, I have room for one or two people and minimal gear.

So I think I just made up my mind to fly down for Lafe, but I'm scrambling to put together the details of my last minute idea.

I'll be flying from Seattle and am not sure whether to fly in to Memphis TN, or somewhere in Arkansas.

Also, who's driving what paths that I might be able to catch a ride with from an airport to the site?

I think I'll fly in sometime early on the 18th, not sure about flying out 21st or 22nd.

I have a roman friend (Mike Daniels) flying into Memphis that I may be able to catch a ride with, but wanted to survey my other options as well!

Hey Clinton, its not to much trouble for me to come pick you up in Memphis, we picked up some guys last year from there. I'll be leaving Detroit in the morning on the 17th and i can get to Memphis that night, if you can get an early flight into Memphis on the 18th I can be there to pick you up, and then we can finish the last 2 hours to lafe.

And for the 21st since there is no activity we could leave in the late morning, so if you got an early afternoon flight out of Memphis i can get you there for it.

If you interested let me know.

With the £ pound sterling quickly becoming a third world currency and industry closing I think it'll have to be some other year. Would love to get over and meet you all sometime.

Stephen, where in Europe are you?

I've been tasked with getting as many authentic accurate Britons together for June 12/13th at Chester this year, if anyone can definitely commit, Id love to hear from you.

I am over in Coleraine, Northern Ireland for a while. My flight home has now been pushed back to June 29, though I may change that if I don't have any money left by then. Exams are over at the end of May, but I want to run around Europe some before going home. If you have the extra kit, I would love to look into coming out as a Briton at Chester. I can't give you a definite answer yet as one of my friends from the States is supposed to be coming over to travel around Europe with me, and I don't know what all she is planning on visiting. Shoot me the details though, and I will look at them.
