Minnesota Iron Age Re-enactment Groups?

Postby Brad Ingebretson on September 18th, 2013, 10:59 am

For the past few months I have been combing the internet for signs of Iron Age life near the twin cities of Minnesota. The closest thing I could find was a viking group up near the border of Canada! Does anyone know of a group in that area that is still active? Or even a small amount of individuals who could start a new group?

Much thanks to any information or tips!

I can't answer your question, but I *can* share what I've been doing. I've been a part of a small group that puts on a small multi-culture reenactment display every summer. I started out as Viking, like the majority of the group, and then beginning last year decided to head off in the Iron Age direction. So, because I (and my children) are the only ones doing so at this time, I formed my own "house". So now, if I have friends that wish to do what I am, I can include them in my house, under my own specifications. My house may grow, or it may just stay my immediate family for a while. Either works, because our larger group encompasses several cultures.
