Ancient Events/Festivals in Poland

Postby Peter B on August 3rd, 2011, 8:17 pm

International festival of ancient cultures -Gotania 2011 in Masłomęcz. Groups from Poland, Bulgaria, Romania - Germans, Celts, Dacians and Sarmatians united against Roman invaders. The level of reenactment was very differential but that was realy great and friendly event!

Video of attacking the roman camp;)

Enjoy! *razz*

Looking at the video, that is some of the most intense looking fighting I've seen at an event. Was everyone using dulled weapons? I do not see padding on them.

Weapon was not dulled. Only "pure" steel. :) But there was no any casualties - all survived! All of guys fought carefully and fairly. That was really good fight! :)

Another "Dymarki Świętokrzyskie" (Swietokrzyskie's bloomery) The ancient metallurgy festival has come to an end. That was the bigest and greatest event in Poland in this year. Huge amount of reenactors: craftsmen, tradesmen, warriors of Rome, Germania, and of course Celtica. Please enjoy our galleries and galleries of our friend!
