Utter tripe; judging by the slant of the article/website in general, I think it might be safe to say that this is one of the ultra-fudamentalist, anti-Catholic, absolutely barking, religious orgs that plague America.

They are simply stupid people.

At the risk of controversy, are these people any worse than those who claim that people in the past actually believed that a god controlled the thunder and all the rest of the natural activities of the atmosphere, land and sea or that those whom chance had put in control had a special relationship with these gods?

Then there are the whole class of ultimately self-appointed shamans, priests, pastors and ministers. On the whole nice inside work with no heavy lifting. All willing to rely on versions of history difficult to substantiate from any evidence. And, whose contradictions in their own lives and inconsistencies in their stories must have been apparent to some at least of the populations in any period of the past in, I would maintain, roughly the same proportions as today.

Good point. I think it feels more unfounded and strange than anything else. It is sort of random bits of information just piled together and assumed into a story. Combined with outright lies that, with a little research, can be completely discredited.

That's one of the strangest things I've read in a long time. Pope Linus was not Boudicca's son. Paul was not excommunicated. Barnabus was not Paul's son. Paul never went to Britain. The arson mentioned was blamed on the Christians by Nero. Boudicca's march had nothing to do with Paul or Linus. I'm leery of looking at any of the rest of the site since that page alone was a big bunch of whackadoodle.

What a heap of bovine excrement. I thought I'd get a good laugh from this, but it's just... not funny, just wrong.

That colouring book page on the other hand, hilarious. :D

If you think that sounds crazy just read up on Anatoly Fomenko's 'theories' on ancient history.

Read it, and it just made me want to cry. Why, oh why, do some people manage to come up with such ridiculous, non-historical ideas?
